Shade Rolls for Livestock Shading Structure
Livestock shading structures are very common in livestock farms, and shading cloth rolls are also widely used in commercial fields. Our sunshade rolls can be provided with edging and preset locking ring. Many animals in breeding farms and feedlots live on a large farm, with a very wide space for free movement of dairy cows, beef cattle, horses, and sheep. Because of the frequent activities of animals in this kind of open space, the growth of some green plants has been curbed. It is very difficult to grow shade plants or small trees. In this environment, these livestock need a shading structure to effectively avoid the sun. It’s like they hide under the tree in the natural environment to avoid the burning of the sun. The shading structure can provide them with an effective and comfortable shadow.
Livestock shading structure
The livestock sunshade structure is not complicated, it can be very simple but effective. The focus of the livestock sunshade structure is the choice of support structure and sunshade cloth.
- The shading structure is usually supported by metal pillars buried in the ground to a certain depth. Then fix the arched support on the support structure. Usually the whole supporting structure is metal. It is very simple, strong and durable. Don’t worry about the collision or bite of the cow and horse.
- The spacing between the pillars of the shading structure is usually determined according to the strength of the supporting structure. The thicker the pillars, the greater the span they can span.
- The height of the pillars of the sunshade structure is usually more than 3 meters, and higher supports can provide more effective ventilation. However, the higher the support, the stricter the requirements for the support structure, and the more difficult the construction will be.
The choice of shade cloth is very critical.
The key points are the shading rate, tensile strength, and service life.
- The shading rate usually ranges from 40% to 80%. The shading rate determines the effectiveness and ventilation capacity of the livestock shading structure. Generally, the higher the shading rate, the higher the density of the shading cloth and the worse the ventilation capacity. If the height of the shading structure is limited, a slightly lower shading rate should be used. If the height and strength are large, a higher shading rate can be selected first to improve the effectiveness of the shading structure.
- The tensile strength depends on the density of the material and the pattern of the shade cloth. The higher the density, the higher the tensile strength. High-density polyethylene HDPE material is preferred. The mono type fiber in the pattern has better tensile strength, and mono+mono type is preferred. Mono+Tape type comes next. A better tensile force can span a larger span, with better strength and toughness.
- The service life depends on the material of the shade cloth and the color masterbatch used. Priority is given to the new HDPE high-density polyethylene raw materials used for the first time. Can guarantee the quality and longevity of the shade cloth. The color masterbatch imported from Germany is preferred, which has better UV resistance. At the same time, it is necessary to ensure a sufficient amount of UV stabilizer components, which can protect the material with more stable performance and longer service life. A good shade cloth can be used for more than 5 years.
- The service life of the shade cloth can avoid the labor cost and maintenance cost of frequent replacement of the shade cloth. Due to the expensive labor costs, one-time investment can be used for a longer time, which is a very efficient cost solution for the ranch.
