A shade sail is a breathable material manufacturing technology with a shading effect that allows air and passage, resulting in better ventilation and a comfortable environment. It allows the passage and therefore does not accumulate water and is not waterproof. The fabric is a PE material that provides good impact resistance and is able to adapt to the outdoor environment without aging.

We have been producing shade sail for many years. Up to now, we have our own warehouse workshop, fabric production workshop and packing workshop. We have about 100 workers and 20 factory managers for different jobs.

- Q: Is it waterproof?
- A: Water will flow through will fall off
- Q: Is the size shown the size of the folded edge?
- A: Yes, I needed this size to cover my pool. It’s very good.
- Q: What is the life expectancy of these shades?
- A: A few years, not sure
- Q: My sail seems to be 21 feet long instead of the 20 feet I ordered. Or am I pulling that side too tight? What is the best way to hang these evenly?
- A: We use loose lashing straps to secure ours. This helps to keep them evenly tensioned.
- Q: What is the actual size of the 16′ x 20′ sail? I want to cover that large of an area.
- A: I use a 16′ x 20′ shade sail on my sandbox and play area in the backyard. It may be very close to 16′ x 20′, but it is not rectangular. It does have curved sides that curve inward.
- Q: Can I use wire or nylon rope away from the mounting point? The picture says 0.5 to 1 foot away. All four of my corners are 10 feet away.
- A: Two of our corners are attached to our house and the other two corners are attached to posts. The posts are 10-15 feet apart and we use Costco’s lacing to fasten them to the posts. We love them and they tumble in the wind, but I think that’s to be expected.
- Q: Is this durable enough to hold up in strong winds?
- A: Yes, as long as the top is properly secured and fastened to a sturdy object, the top will be fine.
- Q: Are these made in the USA?
- A: I don’t know. Probably so. But it’s beautiful.
